Year 6
Local Engineers find a way forward Apr/May
ngineers Registration Board has this year reached a milestone of ten years 2021
from the late ERB registrar Armando Lionjanga to the current Registrar,
EEngineer Dennis Olaotse. A lot can be said about the Registration Board,
but what stands out is the improvement in making the engineering profession
visible and relevantly talked about in a different light. Notably, the introduction
of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and the annual forum have
been a highlight in their efforts to elevate the profession to international standards.
This year’s event which was dubbed engineering week included three days of the
forum and the fourth day as commemoration of the International engineering day.
It was well received by those who attended, and we look forward to 2024. The
Register Engineer Dennis Olaotse via the ERB Facebook page shared a message on
International Engineering day on the 4TH March 2022.
