                 t a media engagement organized by BITC, the Chief
                 Executive  Mr  Keletsositse  Olebile  highlighted
          Athat, “at BITC client centricity is key in order to
          elevate a level of competitiveness in Botswana.” Investors
          who come to Botswana for investment purposes BITC will
          facilitate the availability of local skills or importation of
          those  skills  where  necessary,  lifestyle  amenities,  peace,
          safety and security.


          The  overall  corporate  performance  for  BITC  during
          2018/19 financial year is that it attained a performance
          score of 94% during this period against an excellence per-
          formance target of 80%. This financial year marked the
          end of BITCs first year for its five-year strategic plan.

          As part of the investor aftercare by BITC, Investors are en-
          couraged to retain their investment in Botswana, expand
          their  businesses  and  diversify  into  other  opportunities
          available within the country. BITC also plays a key role in
          generating new investment leads and making existing in-
          vestors ‘Ambassadors’ of Botswana as a preferred invest-
          ment location.

          The CEO applauded his excellency President Masisi for tak-
          ing a leading role of attracting investors in Botswana. As a
          strategic achievement highlight BITC introduced a Board
          of investment chaired by the President and membership
          is drawn from key ministries. The key role for the board is
          to unlock inefficiencies and challenges affecting the inves-
          tors. During the media engagement session, the CEO took
          time to announce the existence of BITC in Francistown as
          part of BITCs strategic presence. He also explained that
          BITC also encourages domestic investors to invest in Bo-
          tswana.

          BITC  contributed  three  thousand  five  hundred  and  six-
          ty-five  (3565)  jobs  in    terms    of  employment  creation  .
          Four  hundred  and  thirty-one  (431)  jobs  were  created
          through  FDI  /Foreign  direct  investment.  Two  thousand
          two hundred and thirty (2230) were through domestic in-      BITC Chief Executive - Mr Keletsositse Olebile
          vestments and nine hundred and forty though expansions.
