sustainability
Programs in
Botswana
eBeers over the years has being having various
initiatives running in parallel in Botswana.
DThese have created a sustainable partnership
with Botswana and has helped improve lives and
businesses locally.
The Stanford Partnership:
It is a US$3 million, three-year partnership with the
Stanford Graduate School of Business to empower
young, aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners
in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. This is held in
collaboration with the Ministry of Tertiary Education.
There were two programmes launched in 2018.
Stanford Seed
This is a transformation Programme and Stanford
GTM. Participants from Botswana represent a range of
industries and geographical locations across Botswana
with nearly half of companies involved coming from
outside Gaborone.
• Seed: The second cohort has recently completed the
first immersion Week in Accra and Nairobi focused on
strategy leadership and business models.
• GTM: Second Cohort of another group of 50 young
entrepreneurs has just been selected and will undergo
a bootcamp in March.Some of the Botswana businesses
completed Seed in 2018.
Alpha Direct was selected alongside 3 other companies
across the Seed regions from the Seed Transformation
Network to pitch to a group of investors in Nairobi.
